M.T.M. Limited Liability Limited Partnership is a leading Polish manufacturer of plastic household goods. What sets us apart is the highest quality of our products and the level of customer service. All this means that for over 30 years, our partners have been the largest European DIY and FMCG chains. Our customers also include numerous distributors of plastic household appliances from both within and outside the European Union.
The company was founded by Tadeusz Szczepański in 1979. From the very beginning, its founder believed that success could only be achieved by guaranteeing the highest quality of products and responding quickly to the needs of customers and the market. The first years saw the launch of production of egg cups, clothes pegs and combs.
In 1994, Tadeusz Szczepański decided to change the name of the company. From that moment on, it began operating as ‘MTM Tadeusz Szczepański Wytwórnia Artykułów z Tworzyw Sztucznych’ (MTM Tadeusz Szczepański Plastic Products Manufacturer). At that time, the company logo was also designed and registered.
In the same year, MTM began operating as a sheltered workshop, creating favourable conditions for the activation of people with disabilities. The high level of interest in the product range led to the takeover of the Szczotkarz Disabled Cooperative in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
Gradually, MTM expanded its range of products to include construction buckets, garden buckets, clothes hangers and complete food container programmes. In 1997, another branch of the company was opened – the MTM Będzin production plant. There, the production of packaging for the dairy and pharmaceutical industries was also launched, for which a quality control and production organisation system compliant with ISO 22000:2005 was implemented in 2010.
In 2016, after more than 25 years of operation, we decided to change our trademark. The new logo and change in legal form were a response to market needs.
In 2017, there were changes in ownership. Marcin Szczepański became the President of the Management Board and the main shareholder. This meant that M.T.M. Polska Firma Rodzinna would continue its operations in the second generation.
Between 2018 and 2023, we focused on intensive automation and robotization of production. Protecting our common good, which is the natural environment, was also important to us. Heat recovery in production halls, electric injection molding machines reducing electricity consumption, photovoltaic installations, process optimization to reduce energy consumption – it paid off.
In 2024, we successfully passed AMFORI – BSCI certification. AMFORI BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) is a global system aimed at improving working conditions and social standards in companies’ supply chains. By joining this initiative, we have committed ourselves to complying with a code of conduct based on international conventions, eliminating, for example, forced labor and child labor, ensuring safety and fair wages, all of which is verified by periodic audits.
Every day brings new challenges. We never stop. We listen to our customers. We respond to market needs. That is our philosophy.
We are a Polish family-owned company.
Disability does not always have to mean complete withdrawal from professional and social life. We believe that in the near future we will be able to show that disabled employees can perform their work on an equal footing with able-bodied people, provided that the right conditions are created for them. Currently, more than half of our wonderful team are people with varying degrees of disability. We believe that we show others the meaning of creating and running a company that is aware of its social responsibility. Through a series of activities aimed at people with disabilities, implemented through multidirectional activities, we promote the social inclusion of people with disabilities and raise public awareness of their needs. Through its activities, the Plant contributes to the development of the regional labor market and combats unemployment among people with disabilities, thus positively influencing the social and economic policy of the region. Every day, we also see that our activities play an important role in the social and professional lives of people with disabilities.
